Increased Circulation of Multiple Respiratory Viruses Among Children and Adults in Wisconsin
Wisconsin is seeing a significant increase in RSV, influenza, and COVID cases causing an increased number of hospitalizations. Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) surveillance data shows a significant increase respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and influenza activity in Wisconsin. Increases of both viruses at the same time are unusual for this time of year. Significant increases in hospitalizations for these respiratory illnesses, especially among children, have been happening in multiple locations across Wisconsin. Stay home to prevent the spread of illness, especially in schools, childcare programs, long-term facilities, hospitals and other settings where close contact is likely. Everyone 6 months and older should get vaccinated for influenza and COVID-19. Find a vaccine near you: https://www.vaccines.gov/find-vaccines/
