Question 1: Under state law, the increase in the levy of the Town of Grand Rapids for the tax to be imposed for the next fiscal year 2012 is limited to .38%, which results in a levy of $1,172,462. Shall the Town of Grand Rapids be allowed to exceed this limit and increase the levy for the next fiscal year and on an ongoing basis thereafter, by a total of 31.5% which results in a levy of $1,542.185? |
