IN VALOR THERE IS HOPE
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard was initially established in 2003. The Honor Guard represents the Sheriff’s
Department during funerals for public service members including active and retired law enforcement, firefighters, and other
emergency service personnel. They also honor the community at memorial events, presentation of colors, and ceremonial events.
The current Honor Guard consists of eight members chosen from various positions within the Sheriff’s Department. These deputies
dedicate their time and efforts in representing this agency and the law enforcement profession to the highest standards
of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to duty at public and private events.
